Penny Pumpkin

Today I needed a thank you card and so I used part of an image from the 2RB stamp called Penny Pumpking to make this card. It turned out nice for a fall thank you except that when I went to sew around the edge of the gold paper my bobbin ran out of thread. I didn't notice until I was half way around, so it just has the holes, no thread.

Banana Split Sunday Challenge

Bags, Boxes, and Wrapping is todays Banana Split Sunday Challenge. At first I wasn't sure what I was going to do so I started looking around for templates and as soon as I saw this shoe template I thought witches shoe! I had so much fun making it. I found the template at PCP and they got it from an old issue of Paper Crafts back in 2006. I think you really need to use double sided paper for fun. I used some of the new Basic Grey paper. The little tag comes from a 2RB set called Princess and the spider is an old Quickuzt die. Now that I made one I can't wait to make another. I hope you take the challenge this week and have as much fun as I did. There is a prize this week of some Pink Paisley paper so lets see what you come up with.
I got the shoe template at www.papercraftplanet.com under learing center, templates.

Scrappy Sunday

I am really slow with this challenge this week. This is the Scrappy Sunday sketch challenge. I had to do this page as it was a part of a two page challenge. Some day I will be done with my spring break photos and will be able to scrap something else. Be sure to stop by 2RedBananas tomorrow for a really fun challenge.

MoJo Challenge

Today I took the MoJo Monday sketch challenge. I altered it a little as the shape in the middle was suppose to be a diamond but I figured my roof was a half diamond shape so it counted. I was very excited to use some cork with my quickutz scallop dies and a stamp from 2RedBananas called Fuzzy Bears. Obviously there aren't any bears on my card but I used the sentiment that goes with the bears. Check it out they are really cute.

Texture

Today the design team from 2RB is showing you cards with texture. We all used the same products that can be found at 2RB (Oct. Afternoon paper, Pink Paislee glitter, May Arts ribbon, and Dew Drops). My card is also using the new release stamp called "Birthday Penny". She is so adorable. Be sure to check out the other bananas sites to see what they came up with.

Banana Split Sunday 123 Challenge

This week the Banana Split Sunday Challenge was as easy as 123. All you need to do is use one ribbon, two stamps, and three dew drops. This was a really fun and different challenge for me. I used the flourish from the Aug. Journaling set and the quote from the Aug release. Hope you have fun with this one too.

Skater Jack

I just love this new stamp called Skater Jack from 2RedBananas. I keep wanting to call him skater Jake because that is my sons name. I paper pieced his shirt and top to match my paper and found this fun skate sticker that was just perfect. I'm going to send it to my nephew for his birthday this year as he will be getting his license.

Scrappy

I use to do a page every week for the Scrappy Sunday challenge over at PCP and I got busy and stopped. I decided since I went to scrap with some friends last night that this would be a good week to start up again. So here is my page from the sketch challenge. The pictures are from Spring Break this year in AZ. Yes they are at a baseball game. Like I don't have enough baseball pictures to scrap. Also don't forget to check out the 2RedBananas sketch this week. There is a prize!

Banana Split Sketch

Today the 2RedBanana Split Sunday challenge is a sketch challenge. So I always put the sketches on a post it note and then make the card later. I didn't realize that I flipped the sketch until I saw the other Bananas cards, but it worked. I guess I need to start putting a label on them. Any way this card has a sentiment from the Aug/Sept. quote set that will be available tomorrow. Be sure to check out all the new sets.

Sneak Peak

Today is another cute sneak peak for 2RedBananas. This set is called "Fuzzy Bears" and has two cute bear images as well as two sentiments. I just love fall colors and this sentiment is perfect for a variety of cards or scrap pages.

Sneak Peak

Today I'm posting another sneak peak for the Aug/Sept Journaling set for 2RedBananas. It has both months, a journaling square and other fun things like a swirl. I just love journaling blocks and all the fun things you can use them for. Hope you can see my page as I had problems cropping so it is what it is. Me and my two boys in a hammock.

Sneak Peak

This week 2RedBananas is having sneak peaks of some new stamp sets that will be released on Sept. 14th. This is my first card and I used a sentiment from a quote set that has three different sentiments. I love having choices for my scrap pages and cards. I also used paper, chipboard and ribbon all available from 2RB. The paper and chipboard is Pink Paislee, Fascinating Collection. I also had to add some dew drops for fun. Be sure to check out all the fun things the other bananas do this week.

I'm Back!

Hello Banana Followers. I am back from the Little League World Series! Yes my son played on the Urbandale team that went. My husband Scott was the coach and we had the best time. We won a game, something that Iowa has not done in 15 years so it was pretty amazing. I have so many pictures and news paper clippings that I am going to scrap right away. I just had to share this picture with you. Not very good as it's scanned in, but it's the only one I have of them together in uniform. Hope some of you took a minute to watch a game.
Now on to the Banana Split Challenge. This week its Stripes and Dots. Just use stripes or dots on your card. I used double sided paper so that made this grandparents day card real easy. i also used a 2RB stamp set called Stg. Chicken that I just love.
Have a great Labor Day.
