Watercolor Backgrounds

This weeks PTI challenge is to use watercolor for an embossed image.  I surprisingly didn't have any watercolor paints but I did have my distressed ink and it worked wonderfully.  This was my second try and I like how it turned out simple but very pink. The first try was on textured paper and my clear embossing powder had been compromised with some black. Bla I'm glad I tried again.

Layering Dye & Pigment Ink

This was a fun Make It Monday from PaperTrey Ink.  First you stamp with a pigment ink to match your paper (I used white). You let that dry and then stamp your image over it with a dye ink and you can see the design.  I decided to die cut out the buttons instead of stamping them right on the jar.  Pretty cool technique.

Sketch Challenge #2

I just had to try another sketch/color challenge from Papertrey Ink.  I guess I am in the stitching mood because this is the second card I have made with stitching.  Of course I am also using a lot of sequins these days.  I already have my valentines done for the year so on to the next holiday.

7-7-17

Today's Papertrey's challenge is to take seven minutes to pick out seven supplies and then make the card in 17 minutes.  I used three different stamp sets to make this card so that took up a lot of my supplies.  I am a big fan of sequins so I had to have some of those too.  What a fun challenge to get you moving! Yeah Papertrey Ink!

Happy Birthday

Another post with another printable.  I used a stamp from the set Happiness in Bloom.  I thought it was a weird stamp in the set and didn't think I would ever use it but it was a perfect match for the loops on the printable and I thought it also looked like a candle flame to go with the birthday theme.

Printables

Challenge #2 from Papertrey Ink is to use one of their downloadable images to create a card.  I did a little fussy cutting with this image and added some felt and came up with a pretty clean quick card. Fun!

Sketch/Color Challenge

This month is Papertrey Ink's 7th anniversary and they are having lots of fun over on their blog.  They are having challenges every day this week.  The first one was a sketch and color challenge.  The sketch part I liked but I'm not very good at color challenges.  So her is my birthday card for my niece that is coming up.  Had to add a little stitching to get one of the colors added.
