I made this really bright card for a friend the wears these floral shirts in the summer. It was fun to make with the bright colors and I love my quickutz wave die. The stamp is from 2RedBananas called "Hawaiian Chicken". I love all the chicken stamps that were new this month. Every time I make a card with one I think it's my favorite, I just can't decide.

Here Birdy
Today I took the MoJo Monday sketch challenge. I always like to have a sympathy card on hand and my supply was getting low. Those cards are so hard to make so a challenge is a good way to get one done. The colors didn't really turn out that well on this post, I like it better in person. The background stamp I used is from 2RedBananas called "wrapped in his love". I also used a couple of pieces of felt that I just love on cards. They add such great texture.

Green/Blue
The OCC had a color challenge and the colors I use the most on cards are blue and green so this was an easy one. I didn't know that those were my colors until I started looking at some of my old cards and over half of them were green and blue. I also have some birthdays coming up and I need to make a few cards and I'm just in love with this Birthday Chicken set from 2RedBananas.

Welcome
I'm sure you have read that we have some changes at the 2RedBananas DT. One of the new additions is Cassie at for the art of it. Welcome Cassie and all your creativity. The reason I am mentioning this again is because last week she had a tutorial for this cute little card house she made. I fell in love with it the second I saw it. My brother just bought his first house and I wanted to make him a card. I had also been holding on to this Elsie paper just waiting to use it. It turned out so cute I can hardly wait to send it to him. I have to get his new address first so I have time just to look at it myself and think, "how cute is that". I can't wait to see all the fun things that Cassie is going to do with the 2RedBananas stamps. So welcome again Cassie!

Banana Split Sunday Challenge
Wearing Stripes is our Banana Split Sunday Challenge this week. That's right you need to use stripes. I love the striped paper and had fun with this new stamp called "Chicken Impossible". I am also loving felt because it adds such great texture. I also always enjoy sewing on a card so it was fun to sew these two pieces of felt together to try and add another stripe to my card. If you want to play along this week there is a paper pack for a prize from My Minds Eye. Really cute, go check it out at the 2RedBananas store.

MoJo Challenge
Today I took the MoJo Monday challenge. I needed to make a thank you for my mom for watching my dog and had no ideas so their challenge was perfect inspiration. I used the Gunthers Greeting stamp from 2RedBananas for the dog image and the paw print on the inside. I found out this bread of dog is black, but my mom has a cocker so I thought it kinda looked like that bread too so I went for it. Don't forget about the 2RedBananas challenge this week to use your favorite animal.

Go Green
Okay, my card isn't green but it's for a green challenge at Our Creative Corner. This Wed. is Earth Day so their challenge was to recycle something. I just found out that a friend is pregnant so I needed to make her a card. The stamp I used is from 2RedBananas called "Chicken Dumpling". I have two recycled things. The first is a baby wipe. I have a package in my scrap room to wipe up stamps or any messes. So, I used a little left over corner of one of those for the diaper and the sentiment. After I inked the edges with yellow I decided I could have used another color but thats what I did. The other recycled peice is the pin. I save the pins that they sometimes hook tags on clothes at the store. You never know when you might need a safety pin. So remember earth day and think about joining the OCC challenge. The 2RedBananas also have a challenge to use your favorite animal and this little chicken is quickly becoming one of mine.

Banana Split Sunday - Your An Animal
Another Sunday another Banana Split Sunday Challenge for 2RedBananas. This week the challenge is to make a card with your favorite animal on it. I needed to make a masculine birthday card for my uncle. He has a black lab named Duce so this stamp set called "The Value of Joy" worked out perfect for the main image and then I added the birthday sentiments. It's hard to tell but I pop dotted the dog and then paper pieced the bandanna. I know he will think this card is cool. Any way don't forget to check out the other bananas sites to see what their favorite animals are and join us in the challenge.

Scrapping
Well I took a break from card making and went scrap booking. I got five pages done which is pretty good. This page is a favorite picture of my husband from last year. He doesn't like it cause you can see his belly, but I just love the expression on his face and how relaxed he looks. He is sitting in my favorite spot at my grandpa's lake house. Any way, I took the sketch from the Scrappy Sunday group at PCP. They keep me scrapping at least one page a week.

OCC Challenge
Today I made a card from the OCC Our Creative Corner Challenge. The sketch was nice and simple and I made it even more simple by not adding a lot of stamping images. I guess I just needed simple today. The sentiment is from 2RedBananas set called "The Early Birds" and was just released this week. Be sure to check it out.

Another Chicken
I am trying some challenges this week and today I took the MoJo Monday challenge. It was a sketch with scallops and lots of fun. I'm also planning way ahead as May 5th is teacher appreciation day so I decided to make a card for that. The stamp set I used is from 2RedBananas and is called "Sgt Chicken"and it has lots of possibilities. If you are interested in participating in a challenge 2RedBananas also has a fun sketch challenge this week and there is a prize drawing for one of the new April release stamps that you can also purchase now.

Sneak Peak / Challenge
The first card I have today is for our Banana Split Sunday Challenge. We are putting it out there a day early due to the holiday. This week it is sketch challenge. Go to the 2RedBananas blog to see the sketch. I flipped it on it's side so I could get my image and saying on. The little girl is from a new set called "A Spring Thing" and she is definitely a little thing. She is going to be fun to use on all sorts of cards/pages. As you can see my flourish today is felt. I just love that felt and an easy way to dress it up is with dew drops.
The second card I have for today is the sneak peak. The set is called "The Early Birds" and this chick is just plain fun. The sticker I used says hi. It's a little hard to see from the reflection.
All the stamps you have seen this week will be released over at 2RedBananas on April 13. Be sure to stop by and check out all the new stuff and take part in our weekly challenge.

Spring Thing
Today the sneak peak for 2RedBananas is a set called "A Spring Thing". I had fun using the word spring on my page. I stamped it right onto the picture using stazon. I'm not sure if you will be able to see it very well but I tried to get a good picture of it. Don't forget to check out the 2RedBananas blog for more peaks. I also forgot to say that all the stamp sets in the peaks will be available on April 13th. This page was also a sketch challenge at PCP for the Scrappy Sunday Challenge. I'm still going strong with that group. It's great inspiration.

Chicken Dumpling
Today's2RedBananas sneak peak is a cute one. This set is called "Chicken Dumpling" and is just adorable for new baby cards. I just had to put some safety pins on my card and also paper pieced the diaper so it matched the background. So much that you could do with this set and the other sayings. Also be sure to check out the other bananas sites for the a sneak peak of "Sgt Chicken" set.

Sneak Peek Week
This week 2RedBananas will have a sneak peak of all the new release stamps for April. This stamp is coming from a set called "Birthday Chicken". He is so cute and if you like him, look for him on other cards during the week. I used a lot of bling on this card. Bling paper, a jem on his hat, a dew drop, and it's hard to see but stickels on the flames. Don't forget to check out the other bananas sites and our Banana Split Sunday challenge to make "Not a Card".

Banana Split Sunday
Today the Banana Split Sunday Challenge is to make "Not a Card". So, I used my favorite new tool the zutter to make a little mini album. My son is on two ball teams and my husband coaches both of them. So other parents are always asking me when the next game is an what that players name is so I put all that information together in a little book for my purse. The quote is from a 2RedBananas set called "Just Ducky". It's perfect for today as we were suppose to start our spring league games today only it is rain/sleeting out so we aren't playing.
So for the challenge you can alter something or make something new as long as it isn't a card. Also, be sure to check back the rest of the week for the sneak peak of new stamps for April. I also wanted to share this other little book I made with my zutter. I found the idea from a magazine. They used a mac-n-cheese box but when I opened my cupboard there was an empty pop tart box. I think it turned out really cute.

Flutter Bye Wed
Today I needed a bright card with a butterfly on it. It was so cold here yesterday and it isn't much better today. So I decided to participate in the Flutter Bye Wed. Challenge. I used two stamp sets from 2RedBananas. The quote comes from "Value of Joy" and the butterflies come from "Caring Critters" sets. Oh, the challenge was not to use patterned paper which is really difficult for me, I love patterns. So I made my own background with the butterflies and added a little stitching for some texture. Of course, the dew drops are also fun. What really inspired me for this challenge was my felt butterfly. I am really into the felt and this is from a set from Fancy Pants.
