More Bling!

The 2RedBananas challenge this week is to use bling. I made a card with the dew drops and they are addictive. Once you start using them you can't stop. So I was working on this page for the PCP Scrappy Sunday Challenge and I just had to use dew drops again. Plus I had a lot of circles going on in this page and I needed some more and dew drops are perfect little circles.

We also have a prize this week - metallic dew drops! So get creative and see what you can do. For my card I used a set called "Caring Critters", October Afternoon paper, ribbon, and dew drops. Have a TEErific Day

Today I have another page that I did for the Scrappy Sunday Challenge over at PCP. I'm really enjoying their sketch challenges. I even used the layout as the second page for a two page layout on putt putt. I thought the title was very appropriate too. So have a TEErific day and don't forget to stop at the inspiration challenge over at 2RedBananas.

Sew... What's New

Okay, I'm so excited about this card. I made it for the House Mouse Challenge to make a card not in a square or rectangle shape. I was looking at all their great cards and was totally inspired. I got this House Mouse stamp this month and used it with the word stamp "Thank you Sew much" and thought that was fun. Then I saw this stamp used on someone elses card with this saying and I couldn't resist using it. At first my idea was to make a sewing machine shape, ha ha like that was going to happen. Then the spool idea came to me and I couldn't stop. If you have any other sewing sayings please leave them in your comments. I can't wait to use this stamp again.
If you need some new House Mouse stamps you can pick up a really cute Easter one at 2RedBananas.com

February Pages

Well better late than never. Last month I decided to scrap a page for every month of the year. That's easy to say in January. So here are my February pages. I used the February journaling block from 2RedBananas on the first page and instead of writing I just used a label maker to type a few key words. No real journaling this month. March's pages will probably be a lot of Spring Break pictures since I haven't taken a lot of other pictures yet. I guess I do have another week left.
Don't forget to stop by the 2RedBananas blog for the inspiration challenge.

Inspiration Challenge

This week the 2RedBananas are having an inspiration challenge. I've never done one of those before so it was fun. Go to the Banana web site to see the picture for the inspiration of this card. On this card I used a 2RedBanana stamp set called "Quotes". I've been using that one a lot lately on cards and page layouts. I think it is my favorite set this month.

Spring Break

I'm back from Spring Break in AZ and what is the first thing I do - scrap a picture from the trip. I did work on some laundry too. We had a great time in the warm weather expecting to come back to cold and it's warm here too. Woo Hoo. Any way this is a page for the Scrappy Sunday Challenge. I'm cutting it a little close this week, but I was gone. We went putt putting with my niece and nephew and Scott had to give a little assistance. The quote on my page is from the 2RedBananas set called "Quotes". Hope everyone is having a great Spring Day and don't forget to check the Banana blog tomorrow for the weekly challenge. There will be a prize this week.

Banana Split Spring Sunday

This is my card for the 2RedBananas Banana Split Sunday Challenge. This week we have a theme and the theme is SPRING. I'm on spring break now so it is very appropriate for me. I used the Just Ducky stamp set for this card. Hope you like it and join our challenge. Check out the other bananas blogs for other spring card ideas.

Grandpa love

This is another page I did for Scrappy Sunday over at PCP. I'm really enjoying those challenges. This picture was taken last summer. It's my son and my dad (his grandpa). I guess you're never too old to snuggle with your grandpa. I used some new paper Woo Hoo and a stamp from 2RedBananas March release called simply "Quotes".

Ollie Challenge

I went to my monthly scrap last Friday and once again was very productive. The first page I worked on was a challenge from Sketches by Tamara. It was a product challenge and I hadn't done that before. It was lots of fun. You had to use a calendar/numbers, staples, and 3 pieces of ribbon. I'm going to have to do more of those product challenges. Any way I also used a new stamp from 2RedBananas called Gunther's Greetings for my paw print and "lucky dog" tag. Hope you like my page. Pictures are from last year when my nephews got a new puppy.

Banana Split Sunday #1

2RedBananas is starting a Sunday challenge and it's called "Banana Split Sunday". Isn't that a fun name. Well the first challenge is my favorite, a sketch. I couldn't figure out how to get the sketch here so you will have to go to the 2RedBananas blog to see it. Sorry about that, I'm still learning. Any way here is my card from the sketch. I used the House Mouse stamp of the month for March. I just love the sewing theme. I also used new paper from My Mind's Eye. both items you can find at 2RedBananas. Hope you join us in the challenge.

Simple Louie

This card is very simple which I seem to be doing a lot of these days. Maybe sometimes less is more. Not a lot of coloring but I did use some scrap paper left over from last year so that always makes you feel good. I decided with Patty's Day a week away I better start making cards. I have a couple of Irish friends that will love getting a card. This stamp came from 2RedBananas and is called Louie. There is also a Louie Too. I will try and use that stamp for my next card.

Friendship Card

I made this card for a friend who lost her lab. She wants me to help her do a scrap book for him. I hope we get started soon as I know how it helps to scrap after loosing a pet.
I used two stamp sets from 2RedBananas on this card. The "Quote" set came out this month and the lab "Value of Joy" was a set from last month.
Be sure to keep an eye on the 2RedBananas blog as we will be sponsoring more fun challenges soon.

Iowa Chops

I went to an Iowa Chops hockey game with some family on Sat. and we were lucky enough to sit in a sky box. It was so much fun I had to take pictures. Then on Sun. I joined a new group at PCP called Scrappy Sunday. So if you can't tell by their name, they have a sketch challenge every Sun. So this is my first try. The first page was the sketch and since I usually do two page spreads I had to do another page on my own. The second page I used a stamp from 2RedBananas from a set called "Quotes" that was just released this month. It says, "Don't be a blueprint, be an origianal." It was perfect for the page. Don't you just love it when you take some photos and then right away scrap them. It makes me happy.
Sorry about the fading colors on the page, I don't know what happened.

March Release

Today 2RedBananas is releasing the March stamp sets. They are a whole lot of fun. Very Springy! This card is from a set called Caring Critters and I really liked the quote but there are a couple more so go check it out. The argyle paper made me want to sew so I did right around the edge of the card.

Last Day of Sneak Peaks

Well this is the last day of the 2RedBananas sneak peaks for the new release stamps that come out tomorrow. This one is called Bunnies & Eggs. I had fun with this set using a lot of blingy paper and a little bling for the bunny nose. Dug into my stash for the metal ring and used some new green felt circles at the bottom of the card. I just love the felt. Jeanette is also going to have a sample of this card today so be sure to check it out too.
Hope you enjoyed our sneak peaks this last week. Don't forget to check out the store for new paper and lots of new ribbon.
