Free Butterfly

I got this butterfly stamp free with my order from Papertrey Ink during Stamp-A-Faire. I am very excited to use it. I heat embossed it and then used oxide inks to make the watercolor background. I really like how it turned out. Can't wait to make another card.

Small Images Repeated

This was a fun challenge for Papertrey Ink to use a small image and to repeat it. I used a little bee from my Honey Bees stamp set and I die cut the hexagons with my cover plate. I needed a thank you note to send so perfect timing. It's fun to used little stamps in a way you don't usually use them.

Faux Leather

Can't wait to make more faux leather with this technique. Took a little bit of time to dry but well worth it.

Woodgrain Inlay

This challenge was a challenge. This is the only die I could think of to use as I don't have many PTI dies. It's the same one used in the challenge but a different look.

Colored Cotton

This was a challenge to come up with an idea but fun. The cotton balls took a long time to dry, but worth the wait.

Handmade Paper Embelishment

Dipped my paper in orange and yellow re-inker and water for the leaves an made a paper bow.

A Little Vellum

My first Stamp-A-Faire challenge card! A little bit of vellum sewed on and using all scraps! Woo Hoo!

I'm creating along with PaperTrey Ink today. This corn card was a my inspiration for my birthday card. I am thinking I might make another one using gold embossing powder for a Thanksgiving card.

Monocromatic Pop of Color

This was a fun challenge from PaperTrey Ink. I was excited to use my new distress oxide ink antique linen to make the background and stain the ribbon. Then I uses a brighter yellow for the bird and put some glossy accents on to make it pop a little more. I am really enjoying the oxide inks!

Color Slider Card

This card challenge was so much fun. I didn't have the slider die so I made my own on my Silhouette machine. I can't wait to send this card. I liked it so much I want to make another one, but don't have a lot of images that are outlines. Guess I need to put some of those on my wish list.

Build a Wreath

I'm making cards for a friend who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. This was a perfect idea for a card. I was going to put a sentiment in the wreath but went with the ribbon instead and I like how it turned out.

Coordinating Shoes

I was so excited to get this stamp set this week and make my Father's Day cards. Then PaperTrey had a challenge to make coordinating cards and it was perfect. You can't see very well in the picture but I did use cooper Perfect Pearls on both cards that gave them a little shine.

Felt Flowers

The MIM challenge at PaperTrey Ink was to use felt to make flowers. This is an old flower die that I can't remember the name of but was glad to get it out and use with the Honey Bees stamp set I just got. I love their wool felt.

Packaging Inspiration

Today for the challenge I made this St. Patrick's Day tag. I used the tag inspiration as well as some cork that I saw on another one of the packages. I'm sending a little something to my niece and this will be the perfect tag to go with it. I used the Luck of the Irish stamp set and the doily die from PTI.

Stitching with PTI

Papertrey Ink is celebrating ten years of amazing stamps and there will be lots of challenges and fun. The first challenge is to use stitching. I used the square as inspiration to stitch around my card and of course if your going to stich you also need to include felt. I used the die from Trendy Tree Tops to cut my tree and bird. My sentiment is from the Twig Wreath stamp set. Have fun sewing!

Throw Back

PapertreyInk is celebrating their anniversary and have some challenges using older stamps. I just picked up a couple of the new TH oxide inks and couldn't resist playing with wilted violet to make this card. I used Tiny Treats Valentine and Bakers Dozen. I am having fun with this new ink and can't wait for a birthday so I can send this card.
