Cookies Tray

I was so excited to make this tray for a friend. Her two daughters were in the Better Homes & Gardens Christmas Cookie magazine and I just had to preserve it. I was really wanting to do a tray and this was the perfect opportunity. All the shapes are from the cricut In My Kitchen cartridge. I just know she is going to love it.

Sketch Inspiration

I'm going to try and do the sketch challenge every week and finish up my vacation photos. This sketch was very simple so I added some stitching to connect the photos a little.

I just made this page for a sketch challenge over at Sketch Inspiration and just needed to share it. It turned out so nice and I just love this picture of me and my new niece.

Spring Scrapping

Well I'm back from a spring break trip and ready to start scrapping. This is a picture of my niece with her moma. No special day just a cute photo and it looked springy to me so it was great inspiration. I used the sketch inspiration sketch #116 for more inspiration and finished this one in about an hour. I also had lots of fun using the new basic grey stuff.

Small Packages

Today I was excited to find a challenge on the Cards blog. I get the magazine and just love lifting their cards so I decided to visit their blog. The challenge was to make a small card 3 inches or smaller. I immediately thought of my paper trey ink tiny valentine set and use this Winnie the Pooh quote with it. The colors are off in my picture but I was in a hurry and no time to fix it.

Scrap Room Sketch

I think these pages are hard to see but no time to fix that now. This is a two page sketch from the scrap room. I had lots of fun stitching the circles and using this green paper that I never thought I would use.

MoJo

Today I needed some inspiration to make a card so I went to MoJo Monday for my idea. Thier sketches are always good for some inspiration.

Scrappin Sports

I'm back after a little break. I was still scrapping/card making just not posting. As a matter of fact last week end I went to a scrap retreat and got 19 pages and 4 cards done. Woo Hoo. I got 10 world series pages done but have more to go. Here is another one I did today. Scrappin Sports & More is one of my favorite companies that puts out sports paper. I scrap lots of different sports so it's nice to have a good variety. They have a blog and in Feb started having sketch challenges. This is one of the first ones I tried and it turned out pretty good. It's pretty simple but a lot of my sports pages are. Enjoy and check out their blog at www.scrappinsportsand more.blogspot.com

Valentine Mojo

Today I need to start making some Valentine cards and what better way than to get a kick start from a sketch from MoJo Monday. Looking back I have slacked a little as that was my post last week. I made a fun easy card with this sketch and I like it. It is from a new set that I got at papertreyink. I just love their stamps. This tiny Valentine set makes me hoppy, like the card says.

MoJo Challenge

Today I took the MoJo challenge and it is a sketch but to make a round card. You can make a square card of the sketch but I went for the round. It was fun and different since I don't usually make round cards. I used one of my favorite 2RedBanana stamps "Sgt. Chicken". He is so cute and comes with several sentiments. I use the I salute you saying the most. I was also excited to use a new green copic marker I just bought yesterday. Woo Hoo new colors are fun!

Banana Split Challenge

I'm taking the Banana Split Sunday Challenge again this week. It's a color challenge to use blue, white, and silver. I used the Jan. Journaling Block 2 (it's on sale) from 2RB for this card. It's a little hard to see but I did stamp the snowflake with silver and used a stardust pen to fill in the heart. I also pleated my ribbon at the top of the mitten and I don't know that I will do that again. I used a lot of glue dots to hold it down before sewing. Does anyone know of a better way to accomplish this look without using so much glue? You can't use pins to hold your ribbon down.

MoJo Happiness

I love it when I need a card and I can pop over to MoJo Monday and get a sketch from their sketch challenge. That is what I did today for this very simple thank you card. It was fast and simple and done. The quote is from 2RedBananas set called Early Birds and is a little hard to see. It says "One of the secrets of a happy life is continous small treats".

More Circles

Today I have a layout that I made for my new favorite blog called Sketch Inspirations. They are new and so far I have really liked their sketch challenges. I am loving the circles on this page and yes I had to stitch on the page as well. I got a new portable sewing machine for Christmas that I leave in my scrap room and now I sew on even more pages/cards than I did before - if that is possible. This picture just makes me laugh ever time I see it. We get a real tree every year and I always take pictures when we are there tagging our tree. Well this year I had some resistance and so I just held the camera out and took a self portrait. Fun for this year but I hope I don't have to do it again.

Circle of Love

Today I took the 2RedBananas challenge and made a card with circles. I actually lifted the stictched circle idea. The quote from 2RB goes perfect with my earth stamp and it came out nice with some left over Christmas paper.

MoJo Monday

I needed to make a get well card for a friend and needed some mojo so I went over to the Mojo Monday challenge. Their sketches always work so well for me. I just love this dog image from 2RedBananas and the sentiment is fun. It says get well soon on the inside.

Snowman Birthday

Well after a two week break I think I am back into a scrap/card routine. I needed a thank you card and made this one and then I thought it was so easy and cute that I made another one and turned it into a birthday card. This is the same snowman I used a few post back but this time I put his mittens on his arms and gave him some glitter for his carrot nose. Hope you had a great new year.
