Banana Split Sunday Challenge

This week's Banana Split Sunday Challenge is to use sticker letters. I think these puffy letters are so much fun I couldn't resist using them on my card. I have a co-worker who just shared that she is pregnant and so this is a generic (not pink or blue) card with yellow dots. I also used the very cute "Precious Bundles" set from 2RedBananas. Be sure to take the challenge this week as there will be a prize!

Banana Split Sunday

As you can see I am a day behind. This page is for the Banana Split Sunday Challenge to reuse, recycle, reduce. I used a piece of packaging from Making Memories. The piece I journaled on is the back of a package of rub-ons that I also used for this page. MM is making it really easy to reuse as they are decorating their packages for later use. I am also please to use this travel paper and rub-ons that I got in a kit. Creating Keepsake had an article about how to use travel items for other pages and this is what I did. Of course, I also have the quote from Garth Brooks that you can get at 2RedBananas. Now I have to tell you the reason I am behind is because my son is playing in a state baseball tournament and we got a new puppy yesterday. More on that tomorrow.

B Day Challenge

I made this card for a sketch challenge over at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards. It's a good site for me because like everyone I need lots of birthday cards. This one turned out cute but the colors look a little washed out on the post. The paper is basic gray so you know they are bright. The stamp set is from Party Bees at 2RB.

House Mouse Challenges

I love trying the house mouse challenges! I don't have a lot of their stamps but the design team always comes up with the best challenges as well as samples. This week was to not colour your image. This was somewhat easy for me because I make cards without colouring all the time. This is one of my favorite images and it was a fun card to make because I love sewing on cards. I can't wait to send this one off in the mail.

MoJo Moo

Today I took the MoJo sketch challenge and used a Cookie Crumbs stamp set that I just love called "Tilly". I don't think you could make an ugly card with this set its so adorable. My favorite part about it is all the sentiments that go with it so it is so versatile. Have a moovelous day!

Cuttle Bug Challenge

Today you can purchase the new stamps you have been seeing on my blog all week from 2RedBananas. This card is from the July Journaling set and is way cool. It has a journaling block, two quotes as well as shells so it is very versital. This card was also part of a Cuttle Bug challenge that you can join by going to http://www.cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/ . They have a terrific prize of embossing folders as well as a 2RedBananas stamp set. Don't forget about the sketch from the Banana Split Sunday Challenge where you can also win a new stamp set.

More Quotes

This is the third quote on a new stamp set that will be available at 2RedBananas tomorrow. I wanted to make this card masculine because it was from a man and all I could think about was the movie so my quickutz film strip die worked perfect. Of course, the paper is sparkly and I added some gems. Even thought it's masculine we must add our bling!

Penny's Mushroom

Today is another sneak peak image from 2RedBananas that will be released on Wed 15th. She is called Penny's Mushroom and is oh so cute and fun to color. For this card I also used one of the flowers and stamped it for my background. Be sure to check out the Banana blog and join our sketch challenge this week. The prize is one of the new stamp sets. Woo Hoo!

Banana Split Sunday Challenge

This week the Banana Split Sunday Challenge is a sketch challenge, my favorite kind. I used a quote from a new set that will be released on Wednesday. I did a little bit of sewing on this card because I haven't done any sewing in a while and it seemed to fit with the sketch. Be sure to check out the other bananas and join the challenge.

Tree Swingin'

Another new sneak peak from 2RedBananas. This is a new illustrator named Mindy Baxter and her images are adorable. I had a great time coloring this image called Tree Swingin' Penny and can't wait to try her other Penny stamp that will be available on the 15th. Be sure to check out the other bananas for sneak peaks all this week.

Sneak Peak - More Quotes

Please forgive the shiny spot on my card. I couldn't get a picture without it and still have good color. I hate it when that happens. Any way this is a sneak peak for the July releases of stamps for 2RedBananas. If you love quotes you will love this set. It has three very different quotes and this one is from Garth Brooks - if you can't read it because of the glare. I'm not a big country fan but I do like this quote and the guitars went perfect with it. Be sure to check back to see the other quotes and check out the other bananas as we also have a new stamp designer.

Banana Split Sunday

Today the 2RedBananas Banana Split Sunday challenge is to make something patriotic. Well I didn't go with the regular red, white, and blue this time. I went with my favorite color green! I actually went to cardsforheroes.org to find out what this organization does. They send cards to soldiers who then send them home to loved ones. They have some requirements so if you would like to make some cards for them hop on over and read about their great program, make it patriotic and post on our challenge.

Masculine Birthday

It's my father-in-laws birthday this week and so the challenge of another masculine birthday card. I always reach for green to start as it's my favorite color and seems more masculine. On this card I used chip board and covered it with paper and then used one of my 2RedBanana stamps to say, "Happy Bird-Day". I love the set as it comes with a birthday chicken too. There are other birday sayings with the set and since birds are so popular right now it works well with a lot of bird embellishments I have. I just had to add a gem for the bird eye too, it just seemed too serious without some bling.
