Banana Split Sunday

This week the Banana Split Sunday Challenge is called Tied up with Ribbon. So all you have to do is use ribbon on your project. I love ribbon so this was an easy one for me. I also used the cute little Chicken Dumpling stamp from 2RedBananas. Now make your ribbon card and go over to the banana blog and post it because there is a prize this week of, you guessed it ribbon. Yeah!

SOA Sketch Challenge

This is my last Stampin Out Alzheimers challenge. This one was a card sketch and it was perfect for a thank you card for a ball coach. You still have time to make a donation over at the SOA site and win one of their daily drawings. It has been a fun week participating in their activities. The journaling block I used on this card is from 2RedBananas May Journaling set. So many ways to use this stamp.

Ducky SOA Challenge

Hey, today I did another challenge for the SOA site. It was a scrap challenge to use a template or sketch and since I'm not digital yet it was the sketch for me. I think the page turned out really cute. I usually like my pages that I sew on anyway. Just gotta love matching shirts too, it was for a fundraiser, we don't usually dress alike. The color came out kinda funky but what are you going to do.

Button Button

Today I'm posting another challenge for the SOA (stampin out alzheimer's) blog. The challenge was to use three buttons. I love buttons on cards and scrap pages. I just keep adding to my button stash to try and get one of every color I guess. You are probably getting tired of seeing this birthday chicken stamp but he is fun to use and I make a lot of birthday cards.

Stampin Out Alzheimers

I made this card for the MoJo Monday challenge but it is also for the Stampin Out Alzheimers site. There are lots of challenges and prizes there. To sign up go to paper crafting planet and donate. They are getting close to their goal so see if you can help them out. The stamps I used on this card are from a set called Wrapped in his Love that you can find at 2Redbananas. I think it looks great with the new Basic Grey line.

Banana Split Sunday

May Flowers is the theme of this weeks Banana Split Sunday Challenge. The challenge is to use flowers on your card. I went a little flower crazy. I love this new paper from Pink Paislee and the stamps are from a set called Party Bees. I just love that Robin Williams quote. Hope you are having a great holiday week end and find time this week to play along with our challenge.

Rock Lobster

Today I took part in the House Mouse challege. It was a lot of fun. I have been waiting to use this stamp it's so darn cute. A mouse in a lobster suit, how funny. Any way it was a sketch challenge, my favorite kind and I added a little stitching that made me think of his lobster claws.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to me! Today I have been married 20 years to a wonderful partner. It seems the time has gone by very fast. I took this into work and the girls were looking at the pictures and saying how long ago was that? I think they thought I looked young, but it was 20 years ago. Any way, I made this frame for the hubby. We were married at my grandfathers lake house and the pictures are very special to me. I guess it's time for new pictures. Have a great day.

Another Birthday

My family has a lot of spring birthdays so this chicken is getting a work out. I just love him because he is so easy to color and makes a cute card fast. My brother is having a birthday this week so it was a good excuse to get the stamp out again. He comes from 2RedBananas and they do have some new stamps being released today so be sure to check them out as well.

Party Bees

Today I have another sneak peak stamp set from 2RedBananas called Party Bees. I just love the quote from Robin Williams and the bees are so cute. There is also a turtle and butterfly included in this fun set. It will be released on Monday 18th so be sure to check it out. I had some problems with the color when I took the picture and the yellows look like they don't match but they do. I hate it when that happens. Can't take another picture because it's already off in the mail. Have a good day!

Today I have another sneak peak card from 2RedBananas. This on is called Mr. Frog Grad. There are actually 3 new graduation sets that will be released on Monday 18th so look for those. I was glad to make a graduation card because every year I say, "I don't know anyone that's graduating this year." and then I remember someone. This year it's my cousin graduating from college. I don't know how I could forget that, but I did. On this card I had to use green with the frog and the file is from Quickutz. I also pop dotted the hat. If you remember you have a graduate then check out some of the other Banana's sneak peaks this week.

Hello Beautiful

Do you ever make a card and just can't wait to post it? That's what happened with this card. As you can tell I am very pleased with how it turned out. It was so much fun. This is a sneak peak stamp called Hello Beautiful from 2RedBananas. I was looking at the image and the skirt reminded me of tulle so I got out my needle and started sewing. I used some scraps of left over valentine paper and of course added the glitter for the veil. Remember that 2RedBananas has a glitter challenge this week with a prize so don't forget to get glitter crazy and be sure to stop by for more sneak peaks.

2RedBananas Sneak Peak

I went scrapbooking this week end and got a little caught up on my son's baseball pictures. Well, I got 2007 done and started on 2008! This page is pictures from his all star team and I used the new Journaling Spot stamp set from 2RedBananas. I used almost all the stamps from the set on my page so it felt very productive for me. I tried to take a close up of the quote but now I still don't think you can see it very well. It's a very versatile set. We will be having sneak peaks all week with the stamp sets that will come out on the 18th. Be sure to check out the 2RedBananas blog for more sneaks and don't forget our challenge this week "Glitter Me Silly". If you like glitter this challenge is for you.

Banana Split Sunday

This week at 2RedBananas we have gone glitter crazy. The challenge for the week is to use some glitter on your card. Well my mother in laws birthday is always around mother's day and I think she always gets cheated with cards so I made this special glitter card for her birthday. The stamp set is the Cajun Chicken set and sprinkled him with glitter from the Pink Paislee Pixee Stix. You can get both at 2RedBananas. If you are glitter silly you should join our challenge as there is a prize this week. You get to pick some glitter! Woo Hoo Be sure to check out the new bananas sites and all that glitters. Happy Mothers Day too.

MoJo Momma

Well I figured I better get going on my mothers day cards as everyone else is starting on fathers day cards. I got some inspiration from the MoJo Monday challenge and I bought this new Stampendous stamp that just makes me laugh. It is really cute and I can't wait to use it on a scrap page. The flower image is separate so every time I look at the hand I think Okay! So Okay here is my first mothers day card.

Banana Split Sunday

Today's challenge is called Pick a Color and you are to use monochromatic colors on your card. This was a real challenge for me. I made one card but just had to put another color in it so that didn't really work. I started over and finally got the hang of if. Just get out all your embellishments of one color and go from there, that's what I did any way.

Here is my weekly page for the Scrappy Sunday Challenge over at PCP. As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I had to scrap these photos of my son and his friend that they took in one of those photo booths. I was also very excited to use my new quickutz die that looks like an old photo negative. I can't wait to try and work it into a card as well. Have a happy May Day!
