Perfect Pear

This week I played along with a Share Joy challenge and used the sketch. I made this card for the owners of the store I work in, as they are a perfect pear. They have had their store open for 15 years and it runs like clockwork because of them. Happy Anniversary!

Masculine Floral

I took the PapertreyInk Challenge this week to make a masculine floral card. It was perfect timing as I had to make a birthday card for my nephew and I just got the sunflower cutting plate in the mail. So excited to use it. I hope my nephew doesn't think it's too flowery.

Thanks

This week I played along with PTI and for their challenge lifted from this card made by Maile Belles. I just loved the look of the gold on craft. I didn't have a good gold ink so I used Versamark to ink and then went over it with my gold Perfect Pearls.

Sketch Challenge

This week I used the Share Joy challenge to make two cards. I wanted to send a card to my son who plays football in college and I needed a card for a friend who is retiring from the National Guard after 30 years of service. It was fun to use the sketch for two very different cards.

Bowl of Cherries

This week I took the PaperTrey Ink challenge of strip grounding your sentiment. I just got this stamp set so it was new to me and I was very excited to ink it up. It's called "A Second Helping of Sunshine". I just love that name. I used glossy accents on the cherries. I can't wait to make another card using the pears in the bowl.

You Eat What?

I just love puns and this new stamp set from Taylored Expressions called "If Cows Could Talk" makes me laugh. When I saw the sketch all I could think about was a fence. So here is my cow card.

New Home

I played along with the Share Joy challenge this week and used the sketch to make this card. I just love pineapples and this new set is so cute with lots of fun sentiments. Pineapples are a sign of welcoming someone home so I made this card for my parents who are moving to a new house this week. I added the string behind the pineapple, but it's hard to see.

Oh My Quad!

I made this card for the Share Joy Challenge. I went with the color challenge because I just bought all the new Talyored Expression inks and wanted to use them. I used: lollipop, candy corn, lemon, and granny smith inks. This is also one of the new planner stamp sets and I just think it is so cute. It's called Oh My Quad. I made it to send to my walking partner to thank her for motivating me to keep going. We go about 5 miles when we walk together so that is why I put a 5 in the sign. simple but fast.

Pointillism

This is one of my favorite stamp sets from PaperTreyInk - Craft Brew. I have had more fun filling this glass and trying different techniques with it. I also think that the pointillism is one of my favorite techniques. I remember learning about it in school a long time ago. All those dots just make me happy.

Drips & Splatters

This was a messy fun card. My favorite technique was dipping yarn in paint to make the splatter lines.

Be Happy

I don't use my white embossing powder very often so this was fun t get it out and add a little color.

Starry Night

What a fun technique with ink. I love how my trees turned out. So simple.

Masters Stamp A Faire

What a fun day this is going to be. I'm being creative with the PaperTreyInk's Masters Stamp A Faire. This is my first card using gilded gold. I painted the die cut and then used Stazon ink to stamp on the basket image. I also couldn't resist painting my gold sharpie to match.

Choose Joy

This week the Share Joy challenge had one of my favorite challenges, Tic-Tac-Toe. I went for a diagonal and used the scallop, yellow, and leaves. I also modified the sketch a little bit. The flowers and leaves are made out of felt, which I just love using.

Oh Snap!

This week at the Share Joy challenge I went with the sketch. I love the inspiration I get from using a sketch. I used the stamp set Oh Snap! for this card and I cut a polaroid frame with my Silhouette. Can't wait to send it off in the mail.

I liked how it turned out so much I made a card for a friend too. I can see using this die a lot in the future.

Faux Brush Lettering

I just got my new King of the Grill stamp set in the mail and had to use it for this weeks MIM challenge at PapertreyInk. The challenge was to use a stamp to make it look like you brushed a word on instead of stamping. I used the word Celebrate from the Uncorked stamp set to make this masculine birthday card.

Thank You

This week I made another thank you card for the Share Joy challenge. I used the tic tac toe and the sketch to make this card. My tic tac toe row was gradient/flowers/yellow. I popped the flowers up to give it a little dimension.

Photo Inspiration

This week for the Share Joy Challenge I decided to use the photo for inspiration. I hardly ever use a photo inspiration so it was a good challenge for me. I've been making a lot of simple cards lately. I like it.

Color Chalenge

This week I used the color challenge over at Share Joy. It was perfect for this spring card I wanted to make a friend who has had a tough time of it lately. I don't think that you can see it very well but I used glossy accents on the boots and all the raindrops. Yes that took a little bit of time but was worth it.

Score Challenge

Today I needed a birthday card for my niece and there was a Papertreyink challenge to score your card so this worked out perfect. I made another one with patterned paper but really liked how this one turned out just using the white. It's a little hard to see the score lines around the edge. but they are there and it definitely adds to the card. I used the Birthday Bash Sentiments stamp and I cut out the cake with my trusty Silhouette.

Oh Shoot!

This weeks share joy worked out perfect for me. I used the sketch as well as kept it clean and simple. The other way it worked for me was that I missed my Aunties birthday this month and owed her a card. I like to send my birthday cards on time and generally do so I have kinda been waiting to use this stamp for a long time.

Ruff Day?

I played along in this weeks Share Joy challenge and created this card for my dad who was in the hospital last week. He is out now but needs to follow up. I know it was hard for him and was hoping to send him a smile.

Share Joy

This week I went for the sketch over at the Share Joy Challenge. I make birthday cards for all my book club friends so it seems I'm always making birthday cards.
