PTI Blog Hop / Flowers

This is my first time to participate in the Papertrey Ink blog hop and I am really excited! You were to use flowers somewhere on your card. I'm not really a flowery person so this was a challenge for me. I had seen on someones blog the idea to use old sewing patterns to cut out and make flowers so this was the perfect opportunity for me to try the idea out. I die cut my flowers out of the pattern paper and then sprayed them with glimmer mist. I think they turned out cute. I wish I had more flower dies so I could layer, but I don't. Since I was using my old patterns for flowers I decided to stay with the sewing theme and use the quilt blocks to make a fence. The flower stems are from bitty buttons set. Can't wait to join in the hop.

I never thought of using that paper for flowers... good twist on that one! Good Job. You posted a question on my blog... No, my flower is made from a sizzlet die from SU and glued together after scrumpling the edges to make the curl... then added glitter glue to the edges. :)
