This weeks Make it Monday challenge over at PapertreyInk was to use pinwheels! I hadn't made anything with this current trend so I thought I would give it a try. I used my Silhouette to cut them out. It took me a couple of tries to get them the right size. I wanted three on my card and they turned out big. I can't wait to make one using a 12 x 12 piece of paper. So this is a pretty simple card. I am totally into using mist right now. I just spray everything when I'm done. Can't see the shimmer but you can see the splotches. I love it.
Okay after I posted the first card I put it on Papertreys blog and there was a card by Kathy Mc that inspired me to get out my fence die and make two more cards, since I already had extra pin wheels! I think they are cuter than my first attempt. Thanks for the inspiration Kathy.

Cute! I need to drag my sewing machine out and start stitching on my stuff...I love it on your cards! :)
Loving the colors you used. And the stitched stems are so clever!
LOVE all 3! I do like the cute little fence added though. :)
I love how you added the stitching for the "stems"! Fabulous cards!
Terrific bright, fun cards!
Oh, I do like your cards. The stitching for the stems and on the fence is a nice touch!
FYI-You were sweet to leave a comment on my blog. You may notice it's gone. I had a editing snafu and deleted my post! I wasn't able to republish or get back the comments. I did read it, though! That's so much!
Loving the stitching on the fence!!! What a great detail idea. I also really like the pattern papers on both sides of your pinwheels.
Thank you for the wonderful comment & encouragement you left me :)
