Birthday Lift

Okay, today I have another lifted card from Cards magazine. Their card had spoons and tea cups and as soon as I saw it I thought I can use my Unity stamp set with silverware! I have been waiting to use my little mini set since Christmas and this idea was perfect. I did cut the stamp apart as it has a spoon and knife on either side. I was also excited that the sentiment fit with the card. The cake is from a Hero Arts set. I am going to try and start doing challenges but right now I am doing a challenge of my own to see how many cards I can lift from my march Cards magazine. So far I have lifted 7 and still counting. It makes the purchase seem worth while.

Book Club

Today I'm posting a page that I put together using a sketch from Sketch Inspiration. They post a sketch every Sunday and have great prizes. This is also the book club that I made the invite for. I had to scrap this picture because in the six months that we have had club this was the first time that we were all together. Love this new line from My Minds Eye and finally got to use my embellishment from Maya Road.

Birthday Car(d)

Well I needed a masculine birthday card and my hero car set was perfect. That is why I bought the set was to try and make some masculine birthday cards. I stamped on patterned paper again, just love that look and it's hard to see but I sprayed the tag with some glimmer mist. Still gotta have bling! Three days in a row posting, I'm on a roll.

Home

My two cards for today are both about home and are both lifted from the cards magazine. I just love my quickutz bird and bird house die. They are so cute and the perfect size for cards.

Book Club

Okay, I have been making a lot of cards lately but they are all scrap lifted so I haven't posted any. But today I am putting on an original card. It's not very exciting but it is using a stamp from "My Favorite Things". I just love their stamps, especially those headless women. Anyway some friends and I started a book club and I'm hosting the April get together so I'm going to send this card out as a reminder. I think we are going to make some book marks to so hopefully when we make those I will post again. I do love this couch with the paper piecing, thank goodness I only had to make 8!

Snowflake Card

This card was inspired by my Cards magazine from last year. It was a color challenge and at first I didn't think I could do it but I really liked the teal and burgundy together. Plus we are about to get hit with a big snow storm.

Cards & Scrapping

Okay, I'm going to try and start posting some of the cards and pages that I make. I have been making some cards lately and not doing very much scrapping but that is about to change this week end as I am going on a crop Fri-Sun. Hopefully I will get a lot done. Anyway, I love the stamps at Papertreyink. I made this card with a Jar set they have. I actually have two sets, the jar and the holiday filler. Of course, there are more fillers for the jar and they are on my wish list. This card is perfect for the snow we have been getting. Hope you like it.
