This weeks Make It Monday challenge over at Papertrey Ink was to use tissue paper over your patterned paper. Well a few posts back you may remember that I used sewing patterns to cut out flowers and since patterns are made of tissue paper I decided since I had already cut into a pattern I might as well keep going. I used the Quilters Sampler set for my background. It took a really long time to stamp and color all those quilt blocks but I think it was worth it. I always have a hard time getting my quilt blocks straight so I liked the fact that the tissue paper covered that up a little and you don't really notice it's not perfect. Ha ha not that my cards are ever perfect but you know what I mean. I also sprayed the card with some glimmer mist but couldn't get a photo with that it would show. I will definitely keep this technique in mind for future vintage cards.Friday, June 10, 2011
