Gratitude Week 2
Today I am just sharing two of my favorite pages from my last week of gratitude. I love this project and that my pictures and pages are so very different from last years. I am also getting the hang of digital pages. They aren't taking me two hours any more. Yeah!

Digital Gratitude
Today I am on day 8 of my digital journey of gratitude and it is going well. These are days 3 and 4. I'm showing them because I think they are the better pages. I'm having fun with digital and my pages are getting done faster every day. I might need to buy some more digital stuff to finish the album but Designer Digitals gave away some free stuff that is helping me along. Please note that I know there are some words that are misspelled. I don't know how to do spell check and I don't know how to go back and make changes once I have saved them. I am an awful speller and that is just the way it is and it comes out in my scrapping. I'm not going to stress about it.

Nuts For You
The Silhouette blog has a challenge to decorate a pillow box and I thought this would be a fun way to give my husband a snack of some nuts. Plus I just love my PaperTrey squirrel stamp.

Keep Calm
I did some scrapping with some friends this week end and I made this card as a little make and take for them. I thought it was cute and easy. I of course cut my keep calm and feathers out of with my silhouette machine. I have been wanting to make a card with feathers for some time and then when I started to put this card together I thought of course turkey feathers!

Gratitude Album
Last year I made a gratitude album with a set I got from Cathy Zielske. It turned out really nice and was fun as I made one for a friend too. This year Cathy is going digital and I guess so am I. I have never really used my photoshop program to it's full extent and now Cathy had a wonderful tutorial that helped me put together this page. I have even sent it off to be printed. I'm so excited I can't wait to get it and buy an album to put it in. Not sure if I will share all the pages but here is my page for Day 1.

It was a brisk 45 degree morning here in Des Moines but nothing better than going for a 3 mile walk with your best friends. Thanks for all your support! Team Mardi Grau Rocks!!!

Dimensional Leaf Challenge
Today I had a little inspiration from Make It Monday over at Papertrey Ink. The challenge was to make a dimensional wreath. In her video Melissa said something about coloring the leaves with pinks and purples. This of course made me think of the pink ribbon and I wondered if I could fashion a pink ribbon out of leaves? I think it turned out pretty good. I used my new leaf die/stamp from "Nuts for You" and the sentiment from "Faith & Hope" sets. I think this could be my last ribbon card of the month but you never know.

Fight Like a Girl
With Race for the Cure this week end I made some cards to send to my team as a thank you. The sentiment and the ribbon came from the free Amuse set. I did have to buy the die that matched the ribbon. I really like the grey and pink together. What do you think?

Silhouette Tag Challenge
The Silhouette blog has a weekly challenge and this is the first time I decided to participate. It was an easy challenge and that's why I decided to try it today. It was to make a tag. I made this fall tag with 3 free images I got from them ( Tag, Falling back into school, Treat bag) and a font I bought (LD demaure). I inked it up, sprayed it and had to add some stickles too. It will work perfect for a little gift I'm going to give a friend.

Silhouette Suits
Have I mentioned lately how much I love my silhouette machine. I made this card for a friend who lost 45 pounds dieting and for exercise swimming. I'm so proud of her I wanted to make a special card and was looking for some inspiration and found it with my silhouette. I just thought these suits were so cute hanging on the line I had to use them. I also had to add my latest obsession, sequins!

Hope
Well since this is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I just got my new stamp from Amuse I am going to post a card I lifted. I actually lifted it from Linda over at www.Luckydogstamper.com
Her card is very cute and I could not resist a lift. She also has a lot of other amazing cards using the same stamp set so go check it out. And remember that yearly mammograms save lives - it did mine.

Happy Haunting
Every year I have a costume party and this is my invite card for this year. Usually I but a new stamp set but this year I used what I have. Can you imagine that? I did have to buy some new paper. Just love the hexagons.

i pick you
This card is a lift from a card I saw in an old Cards magazine. Of course they used a butterfly! I just love washi tape and the polaroid's are fun too. Any time I can use my silhouette it makes me happy. Although, when I make a card without stamping anything I feel like I'm cheating. But I do think this turned out cute.

Go Nuts
Oh how I love coordinating dies and stamps. I just couldn't resist this little squirrel from Papertrey Ink. He is so stinking cute. I also lifted the design from them. It turned out so cute I'm going to make some more and put them in the mail! Happy October everyone.
Also since today is the first day of October all you hear about is breast cancer awareness month. Maybe now that I have experienced it myself I feel like I can't look anywhere without a pink ribbon staring me in the face. I am just not a pink gal but anyway Amuse Studio is giving away a free breast cancer stamp (3$ for shipping) They also have a matching die that you know I will be purchasing. If you haven't seen Amuse I have a friend who is a rep. and you can check out her blog and all her cute cards at www.totogal62.blogspot.com

Corny
Today I just had to post this Corny card. I got this new stamp set from Lawn Fawn and I just love it. It makes me laugh and think about how goofy you can be living in Iowa. I'm putting a big old corn cob on your card and thinking it's cute, but I do. There are more images in the set that I am committed to using soon. I also had to repost the second card. It was so plain I just had to do something so I added some hand stitching and a little distress ink around the edges. Now it's ready to send and made me happy.

Fabric
I made this card for a fun Paper Trey Ink challenge to use fabric with die cuts. This is a very simple plain card but it was fun to use my burlap and make a quick card for fall. I used heat and bond to attach the leaf to the card with my ribbon iron. It's great to have another use for it!

Fair Chicken
I thought this card was perfect to send this week as the Iowa State Fair is going on. I saw an idea for a chicken card and they had an embossed folder in the background which made me think of my hexagon die from PaperTrey. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Silhouette Card
Have I said that I love my Silhouette machine that I got for Christmas? I do love it. I made this very simple card with the snowman. It is snowing here today so it's totally fun! I have also decorated some shirts with rhinestones but haven't figured out how to take good pictures of them yet. When I do you will see them there because I love the bling.

Valentines
Another LO today. This weeks challenge from May Flaum was to use paper and pen. So I did a little doodling (not very much) and traced my chipboard letters. I think I just need to keep my pen out and think about what it can add to a page. I'm also very excited to be scrapping a current picture!

Paint
Week 3 in my online class that I love was about using paint and a little glitter. Not sure that I like this layout but it was fun stamping with paint and using stickles around my photo. trying to get a feel for being a little messy. This week is about using your pens so I'm going to try a little doodling.

Pin Wheels!
This weeks Make it Monday challenge over at PapertreyInk was to use pinwheels! I hadn't made anything with this current trend so I thought I would give it a try. I used my Silhouette to cut them out. It took me a couple of tries to get them the right size. I wanted three on my card and they turned out big. I can't wait to make one using a 12 x 12 piece of paper. So this is a pretty simple card. I am totally into using mist right now. I just spray everything when I'm done. Can't see the shimmer but you can see the splotches. I love it.
Okay after I posted the first card I put it on Papertreys blog and there was a card by Kathy Mc that inspired me to get out my fence die and make two more cards, since I already had extra pin wheels! I think they are cuter than my first attempt. Thanks for the inspiration Kathy.

Smile
This week my May Fluam class challenge was to stamp. I love stamping on my scrap book pages so I'm sure I will have another post but I needed to make a birthday tag so here it is. I used ink and paint to stamp as well as four different stamp sets. I also sprayed some glimmer mist and used washi tape for my tag string (lifting that idea from Tim Holzt).

Curious Scrapper
Hello, long time no blog. I am taking another fun class from big picture classes. It's called The Curious Scrapbookers Field Guide. Every week May Flaum talks and shows us a fun thing to do with different products. The first week was mist. My nieces were here last week end so I just had to scrap this picture. I cut the wings and doily out with my new Silhouette. Love that machine!
